Canadian Home Rotors Safari crash near near Eyrewell, North Canterbury, Canterbury, New Zealand

The amateur-built Canadian Home Rotors Safari crashed near Eyrewell, about 400 metres south of Forest Field Aerodrome, from which it had departed. The pilot, the sole occupant, was killed and the helicopter destroyed. A witness described the aircraft falling out of the sky. The circumstances have not been established.
