Summary
The Marine Corps Osprey of VMM-261, coded EM-11, crashed near the Draa River close to a military training area in Tan Tan province, southwest of Agadir, after taking off from the amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima during the joint exercise African Lion. Two of the four on board were killed and the other two seriously injured.
