Airbus Helicopters H125 crash near Nuwakot, Nepal

An Altitude Air Airbus H125 (9N-ALS) crashed in dense forest at 5,500ft in Meghang, Nuwakot/Dhading, while airlifting a patient to Kathmandu. The pilot inadvertently entered IMC without analysing terrain configuration and cloud density along the route, lost situational awareness, and collided with the forest. Six occupants died, a woman passenger survived. No post-crash fire. Bad weather and rugged terrain delayed rescue teams.
