Summary
A REACH Air Medical EC135 crashed in the sea off Pebbly Beach, near Avalon on Santa Catalina Island, shortly after taking off at about 19:50 local time on a medical transfer. Two of the five on board were killed and others were rescued from the water by Los Angeles County Fire, the Sheriff's Department and the Coast Guard. The NTSB is investigating. ADS-B data indicate the aircraft was N313RX.
