Robinson R44 Astro crash near Budapest, Hungary

A Robinson R44 photographing a construction site on the Danube near the Lágymányosi bridge lost engine power at 15 to 20 metres, its tail struck a steel concrete mould and broke off, and the helicopter fell into the river. A company executive on board was killed. The pilot and photographer were rescued by site workers. Investigators found carburettor icing in icing-prone conditions caused the power loss.
