Eurocopter AS350B3 Ecureuil crash near Alijó, Portugal

An Everjets AS350B3 approaching the Vila Chã dam at Alijó to refill its bucket had trouble operating it, and the helicopter became unstable. It rotated about the vertical axis, the rotor blades touched the water, and it struck the ground and rolled onto its right side at the edge of the dam. The pilot climbed out through the left door with only scratches.
