Summary
A Heliportugal MD 500E inspecting power lines struck a 60 kV line and crashed in woods near Santa Maria da Feira, Aveiro district. One of the three on board was killed and the helicopter was damaged beyond repair. Investigators found the line was unknown to the crew and detected too late, and that the occupant of the co-pilot seat was not dedicated solely to lookout.
