Summary
The Mi-8MTV, chartered by the Afghan Army, crashed on take-off from the Shaheen Corps headquarters bound for Faryab province, with a post-impact fire. Twelve of the fourteen on board were killed — two pilots and ten passengers. Those aboard included three Ukrainian crew, four public order police, four army soldiers and two national police.
