Mil Mi-8MTV-5 crash near Tarasivka, Troitske Raion, Luhansk Oblast, Ukraine

The helicopter was destroyed on the ground by a drone strike carried out by the 3rd Assault Brigade Azov of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, using a Hornet strike UAV. Ukrainian sources published video of the strike and describe two hits, the first on the port side fuel tank and weapons rail and the second presumed to have struck the tail. They also report an earlier drone attempt from which the helicopter managed to fly away. Russian sources acknowledged the strike and said the flight crew survived and were evacuated, so unlike most claims of this kind it is described by both sides. No casualty figures are available.
