Summary
The Lynx was lost during a two-ship gunnery training sortie from Kandahar and crashed in Takhta Pul district. All five on board were killed — three Army Air Corps personnel, an RAF officer and an Intelligence Corps soldier. Enemy action was ruled out. The impact and subsequent fire were such that investigators recovered less than half the wreckage. The Service Inquiry was published in July 2015.
