Eurocopter EC120B Colibri crash near Monchique, Portugal

Summary
A Heliportugal EC120B had spent an hour inspecting power lines for EDP at low level in the Monchique valleys. Repositioning for another line at the bottom of the valley, the pilot began a turn and struck high voltage cables at the top of a hill. The helicopter fell out of control and hit the ground at Vale d''Água. One of the three on board was killed. Weather was not a factor.
