AutoGyro MTOsport crash near Benavente, Portugal

An instructor and student were flying circuits at Leziria Airfield in an AutoGyro MTOsport when the engine gradually lost power on the sixth takeoff, at about 30 ft. The instructor took control and landed ahead on the runway, but the gyroplane touched down hard on soft ground and hit a low transverse ramp hidden by grass, flipping over. Neither pilot was injured and the aircraft was destroyed.
