Summary
The pilot was running the pre-flight checklist ahead of a tourist flight when, on applying power, the helicopter rotated left through two or three turns and struck the helipad. No passengers were aboard. The tail broke and the rotor and fuselage were significantly damaged. The pilot was unhurt. Investigated by CIAIAC as A-005/2024.
