Summary

The Koala had taken off from the El Bodón base in Salamanca for firefighting work, dropping its ground crew before heading to the Águeda river to fill its bambi bucket. Manoeuvring for the entry to the water collection point, it struck the ground near the river bank at Villar de la Yegua. The pilot suffered minor injuries and the helicopter was substantially damaged. Investigated by CIAIAC as A-015/2026.
