Summary
An Omni Taxi Aereo AgustaWestland AW139 (PR-OOU, manufactured 2024) departed Eurico de Aguiar Salles Airport (VIX), Vitoria, at 20:09 UTC bound for the Petrobras FPSO P-57 maritime unit to conduct a night instructional flight with two crew members and one passenger. During the approach to land on the platform, the tail rotor and horizontal stabilizer collided with a structure on the maritime unit located near the landing site. The crew executed a go-around and returned safely to Vitoria. The aircraft sustained minor damage. CENIPA classified the event as a serious incident.
