Summary
A Bell 430 flying from Porto Belo-Costa Esmeralda to São Joaquim lost contact over the Serra Catarinense in poor weather on 21 September 2026. The wreckage was found the following day at about 12:30 local time near Vacas Gordas, Urubici, Santa Catarina. All five on board were killed, among them sertanejo singer Rick of the duo Rick & Renner. The helicopter was destroyed. CENIPA is investigating.
