Leonardo AW139 crash near Ras Tanura, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia

A Leonardo AW139 operated by Aloula Aviation, a wholly-owned aviation subsidiary of Saudi Aramco, crashed on approach to Ras Tanura Airport in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. Flight tracking data showed the aircraft had a high rate of descent before disappearing from radar short of the airfield. All 14 people on board, all Saudi nationals, were killed. Ras Tanura hosts the largest oil refinery in the Middle East and Aramco had only resumed operations there two days before the crash following a halt during the 2026 Iran war.
