Summary
A Nagano Prefecture disaster prevention Bell 412 rescue helicopter crashed into a mountainside near Matsumoto in the Japanese Alps during a mountain rescue training exercise. All nine crew members on board were killed. The helicopter was conducting training flights in mountainous terrain when it struck a ridge.
