Summary
The first accident involving a helicopter on Swiss territory. A Westland-Sikorsky S-51 (G-ALEI) nicknamed "Spraycopter" was conducting aerial treatments against May beetle infestations when it struck electrical power line cables near Aproz in Valais. English pilot Peter E. D. Moore was seriously injured and the helicopter was destroyed.
