fatal2001-08-032 fatalities
Summary
The air taxi was flying from Pitești to Timișoara, having come from Constanța, when its tail struck trees over woodland on Kings Hill and broke. Control was lost and it came down in a clearing. The pilot, who owned the company, and the co-pilot were killed; the two passengers survived, one with a fractured femur and one with amnesia. Investigators said a first examination of the wreckage showed no technical failure and that the most likely cause was a flying error during low-level flight.
