Eurocopter AS 350B2 Ecureuil crash near Chatsworth, Los Angeles, California, United States

The news helicopter was manoeuvring at low altitude over Chatsworth to film the scene of a fatal traffic collision when it lost altitude and struck a commercial property. A severe post-impact fire consumed the fuselage, heavily damaged four vehicles and affected two shipping containers. Both occupants were killed, along with a pedestrian on the ground; another bystander was injured. Investigated by the NTSB.
