Robinson R44 crash near Boynton Beach, FL, United States

A Robinson R44 helicopter (N478AT) operated by Airmen Testing and Training on an instructional flight crashed into a vacant warehouse on South Congress Avenue in Boynton Beach, Florida, shortly after 12:20 p.m. Both the flight instructor and the student pilot were killed. Police, firefighters, and hazmat crews responded after fuel was found leaking from the wreckage. The NTSB preliminary findings revealed loose and corroded flight control components that may have affected the aircraft handling.
