Hughes 500D crash near Conques-sur-Orbiel, France

A Hughes 500D helicopter (F-GJLX) operated by Jet Systems Helicopteres Services crashed in a field near Chateau des Saptes, south of Conques-sur-Orbiel, Aude, at approximately 13:15 local time. Two Enedis (French power grid) employees were on board conducting a power line inspection mission following Storm Nils which had swept through the department the previous day. Both were injured. The helicopter was destroyed. The BEA classified the event as a low-altitude operations incident.
