Robinson R22 crash near Pembroke Pines, United States

A Robinson R22 helicopter (N8316N) made a hard landing and rolled onto its side near Opa-locka West Airport, southwest of US 27 and Pembroke Road in Pembroke Pines, Florida, at approximately 7:45 a.m. The pilot and one passenger were on board. No injuries were reported and both occupants were ambulatory. Pembroke Pines Fire Rescue and Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue responded. Crews used air rescue and a track unit to reach the helicopter due to terrain issues. The FAA is investigating.
