Hughes 269C crash near Hilversum, Netherlands

serious2014-03-13
Summary

A Hughes 269C helicopter (PH-OKE) crashed at Hilversum Airport during a survey flight with two observers. While taxiing to runway 31 at 1-1.5 metres height, the helicopter suddenly banked and the rotor blades impacted the ground as it rolled over. All three occupants were injured. The Dutch Safety Board determined a momentary lapse of attention caused the left skid to hit the ground during a traversing motion.
