serious2021-09-13
Summary
The Super Puma was working the Sierra Bermeja fire when it was asked to carry nineteen members of two forest brigades to a point in the mountains from which to attack the blaze. Twenty-one people were aboard including the two crew. During the landing the main rotor blades struck a tree, breaking and damaging them. Everyone aboard was unhurt, but the wildfire subsequently reached the helicopter and destroyed it completely.
