Airbus Helicopters H130 crash near Abisko, Sweden

A Kallax Flyg Airbus H130 helicopter (SE-JXX) was swept away when an avalanche struck it while standing on the ground near Abisko National Park in northern Sweden at approximately 15:50. Seven people were in or near the helicopter. Two people were swept away with the helicopter and initially reported missing. A large rescue operation was launched involving police, mountain rescue, and military helicopters. Both missing persons were later found but died from their injuries. One other person was hospitalised.
