Summary
A Topjet Aviation Robinson R44 yawed uncontrollably to the right during a spot turn just after lifting off from the Sharp Peak landing site, Sai Kung, and struck the ground about 10 metres away, coming to rest on its side. The pilot and two of the three passengers were seriously injured. Investigators found a loss of tail rotor effectiveness led to the tail rotor stalling.
