Summary
The Seahorse was flying from Scott Base at McMurdo Sound to the Wright Valley when it crashed into the side of Mount McClennan and was destroyed by fire. Nine were aboard: four US Navy crew, two American scientists and three members of the New Zealand National Film Unit. One scientist and the film unit's director were killed.
