Robinson R22 Beta II crash near Roskilde Airport, Zealand, Denmark
On a local training flight from Roskilde, the helicopter hover-taxied at about a metre southbound along taxiway A toward the run-up area for runway 11. It was the student's second flight of the course, so the instructor flew cyclic and collective himself while the student worked the pedals to practise holding the nose straight. After passing taxiway G the helicopter turned right and drifted across the grass between taxiways A and D, striking the ground hard twice with the nose toward the terminal — once on both skids together, then with the right skid first. The instructor recovered, turned into wind and landed on the grass. The right skid broke, with dents to the panels below the right door, the right side of the cabin and the right side of the tail boom.
