AgustaWestland AW101 Merlin crash near Ahmer El Ain, Tipaza, Algeria

During a night training exercise the Merlin struck high-voltage power lines and crashed at a farm near a major power station outside Ahmer El Ain, in the southeast of Tipaza province. All three on board were killed. Security services closed access to the site and the bodies were taken to the military hospital in Algiers.
