Eurocopter EC155B1 crash near Lantau, Hong Kong

A Government Flying Service EC155B1 on a night casualty evacuation flight to Cheung Chau struck high ground at Tung Chung Gap, Lantau, about three minutes after leaving Hong Kong International Airport. Both crew were killed. Investigators found the pilot chose a low, fast route across the gap at night in weather below the service minima, with fatigue, mission pressure and a lack of risk management among the factors.
