Agusta A109 crash near Apricena, Apulia, Italy

An Agusta A109 helicopter flying from the Tremiti Islands to the mainland crashed approximately 50km from the city of Foggia in the Apulia region of southern Italy, killing all 7 on board. Among the victims were four Slovenian tourists. Police reported bad weather conditions at the time but the exact cause remains undetermined. Apulia president Michele Emiliano left a peace rally in Rome to travel to the scene, describing it as "a terrible moment that leaves us dismayed."
