Summary
Two helicopters collided mid-air near Villa Castelli in La Rioja Province while carrying passengers filming the French reality TV show "Dropped." This aircraft, piloted by Juan Carlos Castillo, was carrying five people. All were killed including famed French sailor Florence Arthaud, Olympic swimmer Camille Muffat, and boxer Alexis Vastine. The collision occurred in a rugged, sparsely populated area on the edge of the Andes. French President Hollande confirmed the deaths.
