Bell UH-1H crash near Don Samuel Bay, Nelson Island, Antarctica

The UH-1H was lashed to the deck of the icebreaker ARA General San Martín, the hangar being occupied by two other aircraft, when the ship rolled up to 50 degrees during navigation back to Don Samuel Bay. The lashings broke and the helicopter was lost overboard. The sea state and rolling made recovery impossible. A crewman was injured attempting to prevent the loss.
