Kamov Ka-26 crash near Kalocsa, Hungary

During crop spraying near Kalocsa the pilot of a Kamov Ka-26 saw the right engine cowling had opened and returned to the takeoff site. The right engine stopped at low speed on approach and the helicopter hit the ground hard from 3 to 5 metres. A fire in the engine bay was put out by the mechanic. The pilot was unhurt and the helicopter was substantially damaged.
