Summary
Flying at 2,000 feet en route from the Rashid oil field, there was a sudden bang and the helicopter became difficult to control. The pilot attempted an immediate forced landing on the sea but it turned over on touchdown. When the wreckage was recovered the entire tail rotor assembly was missing.
