Robinson R44 crash near Foleyet, Canada

On September 9, 2015, about 0015 Universal Time Coordinated, a Robinson R-44, C-GZFX, owned and operated by Apex Helicopters Inc. was found in a heavily wooded area about 17 nautical miles south of Foleyet, Ontario. The pilot and one passenger were fatally injured. The helicopter departed on September 8, 2015, about 0100, from a camp on Horwood Lake, Ontario, and was destined to a forestry camp near Rollo Lake Ontario. This investigation is under the jurisdiction of the government of Canada.
