Summary
A crop-dusting helicopter struck power lines while spraying crops near county roads 1700 North and 2000 East in St. Joseph, Illinois around 7:15 p.m. The pilot, the sole occupant, was airlifted to Carle Foundation Hospital with serious injuries. The crash knocked out power to over 1,000 customers in the area. The helicopter was carrying pesticides, requiring hazmat precautions at the scene. The NTSB is investigating.
