Summary
A Robinson R22 Beta II (PH-RTR, manufactured 2001) crashed at Ameland Airport while taxiing with a tailwind at high weight. Tail rotor effectiveness was reduced, causing the helicopter to yaw and crash. The rotor hit the ground and the helicopter overturned, breaking into three pieces. Both occupants escaped with minor injuries. Registration cancelled as destroyed.
