Mil Mi-24P crash near Mount Kenya, Kenya

Summary
The third of three Uganda Peoples Defence Force Mil Mi-24 helicopters that went missing over Mount Kenya while en route from Soroti to Garissa for AMISOM deployment. Seven crew members survived the crash landing but the captain suffered serious back injuries. All were rescued and treated at a military base in Nanyuki. The helicopter's body was badly damaged but the engine remained intact.
