Summary
A Kenya Air Force Bell UH-1H Huey II (serial 1501) operated by 53 Tactical Helicopter Squadron crashed in the Sindar area of western Kenya. Ten occupants died including Kenya Chief of Defence Forces General Francis Ogolla. Two survived with serious injuries. The helicopter caught fire and was destroyed. It was the highest-ranking military fatality in a Kenyan helicopter crash.
