Bell 222 crash near Imerinimady, near Antananarivo, Analamanga, Madagascar

The helicopter caught fire as it landed and was written off. Seven were on board, including the president of Madagascar, Marc Ravalomanana, and his wife. All were evacuated safely and nobody was hurt. The airframe had passed through American, Canadian and Mexican registers before reaching Madagascar. The aggregator gives the location as Imerinimady while the airframe database says Antananarivo; the two are close and both are recorded here.
