Summary
A Kenya Police Air Wing Mil Mi-17 (5Y-UKW, manufactured 1999) carrying Police Commissioner Hussein Ali, senior internal security ministry officials, and journalists crash-landed in Kapsabet shortly after takeoff. One passenger, a police officer, succumbed to his injuries after several days in hospital. The helicopter was destroyed.
