Eurocopter EC130 B4 crash near Taureni Lake, Mures County, Romania

The helicopter came down in Taureni Lake shortly after lifting off from its shore, killing five of the six aboard: three German businessmen, the owner and the pilot. The owner's assistant survived. The investigation found the most likely cause to be an incorrect assessment of height above the water, or the pilot being physically unable to react, with stress and temporary incapacity, the seat belts not being used, and twilight flight over water as contributing factors.
