Summary
A Kenya Defence Force Hughes 500MD helicopter lost power while attempting to land at a KDF camp in Boni Forest, Lamu County, at 18:15. The helicopter crashed, burst into flames, and was destroyed. Both pilots were critically injured and subsequently died in hospital from their injuries.
